Nope!
Some of the best games ever made have been designed around a unique controller!
'Sports console' wtf?
I liked the first version of your reply better :p
I do actually own all the systems and agree absolutely that there's good stuff across the board for 2013.
But be careful about assuming that the majority of gamers think the PS3's lineup looks better, or that I'm "delusional" for preferring Wii U's.
In fact, let's both be careful of assuming either console will have the better games until we get our hands on them ...
I could have listed eight good games but I chose instead to list two fantastic ones.
For me, that's what makes a great launch. No-one buys the machine because "HOLY CRAP IT HAS 20 GAMES", they buy it for that one essential game they have to play.
This is why people have fond memories of say the Xbox launch with Halo or N64 launch with Super Mario 64, but less so with the PS2 launch for example.
I can say it's better and I believe I did, lol, and I stand by that absolutely. Hell, for Wonderful 101 alone it's better.
But remember, we're only assuming any of these games will be good, right? They could all fail horribly.
I think next year will be brilliant though.
Na, launch lineup was excellent just for NSMBU and Nintendo Land.
Other stuff included updated versions of some blockbusters from the past 12 months, simultaneous releases and a couple of decent third party exclusives. Solid.
Looking into 2013 and already you have the Platinum games, Pikmin 3, Monster Hunter and Rayman Legends. Better than the other consoles' known lineups at this point.
Taking the average of Metacritic scores, which are ...
Sounds like the dreaded 'cinematic gameplay'. Yuck.
Yeah, like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on surf boards.
COWABUNGA!
Quite a lot of Kinect projects in the pipeline it seems!
:P
That's what I said when this misleading graphic was posted in another article.
Let's reflect on 2013's games in December 2013..
Reminds me of those hats with beer cans on the sides
In my opinion it's an example of a poorly researched article - Crimson Dragon is probably my most anticipated game for next year, there's also Lococyle, Matter, Ascend, etc.
But whatever.
No iksloooosiffs.
I'm not angry, I'm actually feeling kind of giddy right now. Too many sweets.
You could, but since I did the joke first it would only have made you look like an idiot.
It's true that many people have congratulated Crap'game'company, but there are many others who are absolutely outraged by the praise they've got.
'Nobody cares', lol. You're nobody.
I'd like to further bestow it with my prestigious Most Boring, Best Use Of All Stages Are A Desert Stage, and Worst Thing I Downloaded In 2012 (Apart From That Update That Can Brick Your Wii U) gongs.
I can agree with that, it seems MS was the first to actually not care whether its important games launch via a download or on a disk.
"It's not a game for everybody" ... "close minded" ... "look past the obvious lack of gameplay" ... "game is art" ... "engage" ... "emotions" ... "beautiful"
Journey is a divisive game and no-one should feel pressured into saying positive things about it ... it's already been destroyed by some of the most astute critics so the writer here is far from alone.
